The DA-400S Contour Probe has a selective AC and DC function, built into this single reliable instrument.
The AC mode produces an intense AC field for detection of surface defects & demagnetizing after inspection.
The DC mode produces an intense Half Wave Rectified DC field for detection of applicable subsurface defects.
Controls and solid-state electronics are contained within the high impact moulded housing. Articulating legs allow the AC or DC field to be applied to the precise area of inspection on nearly any part or surface shape.

Application Support Switzerland
Takuya Den PhD in chemistry has joined Fischer in Switzerland as one of our new application engineers.
In addition, our testing and calibration lab in Switzerland just passed the renewing audit from the Swiss accreditation service according to ISO17025. The lab is accredited for the many services as shown below.

The module consists of a variety of J-Sensors for different steel bar diameters and a J-H application software package. Main focus is on the following industrial applications:
- Determine the complete J-H hysteresis for soft-magnetic steel including saturation Hmax, Jmax and remanence Jr
- Determine the relative magnetic permeability μr
- Determine the hysteresis loss (core loss) W
All these are important material properties when manufacturing components for electromagnetic actuators and electrical drives.
Karl Deutsch Introduces Phased Array technique on their new ECHOGRAPH-STPS-PAUT Bar testing System
ECHOGRAPH-STPS testing systems normally contain 9 or 15 probes,
which already provide a good coverage of the bar cross section. By using the phased array technique the number of ultrasonic shots is increased and fuller cross-sectional coverage is achieved. Providing greater throughput of Bar.
