The Echometer 1073-VS Sound Velocity Gauge, insert the thickness of the item and then place the probe on the item and the Echometer will display the item Velocity.
After the gauge is switched on, the probe is placed as usual on the 5 mm calibration block to calibrate both, probe and instrument. After the successful calibration, the thickness 5.0 (resp. .197 in the inch mode) is indicated. With the keypad, the thickness of the workpiece is entered. In all following measurements, the sound velocity appears on the display. Except this special function, this gauge has the same technical properties and operation principles as the regular ECHOMETER 1073.
